About Messenger Chats Guide

Messenger Chats Guide is intended for parents and legal guardians who want to make informed decisions about their own minor children's Facebook Messenger use. The content focuses on practical supervision, digital boundaries, and the risks associated with unfamiliar contacts.

Our guides cover message requests, contact limits, group conversations, photo and video sharing, and reviewing chats together. We also explain the potential role and limitations of mSpy as a commercial monitoring tool, without treating technical monitoring as a replacement for parental involvement.

The purpose of this publication is to help families and employers make responsible decisions about device monitoring. Consent, transparency, proportionality, age-appropriate communication, and compliance with local rules remain central to that approach.

What you will find here

Messenger Chats Guide publishes 5 guides about Facebook Messenger monitoring, among them Message Requests: Who Can Reach Your Child?, Setting Messenger Contact Limits for Teens, Group Chats That Grow Out of Control.

Responsible use

mSpy is monitoring software meant for parents and guardians of minors and for employers who monitor company-owned devices with the employee's knowledge and consent. Monitoring another adult without their consent is illegal in many countries. Laws differ by country and state, so check the rules that apply to you before you install anything.

Talk openly with children about any monitoring in a way that suits their age, and give employees a written policy and notice before anything is monitored. Where a rule is unclear, ask a lawyer in your country.
